The key members of AlohaMobile.Net are well-versed in
cutting edge wireless networking. We know WiFi systems,
networks, connectivity, programming, and data management.
We have deployed many new technologies in Hawai'i and have
experience in dealing with unexpected problems that arise
with new systems. Our principals have authored
authoritative texts on wireless networking for industry
professionals, training programs and conference
presentations. They have provided consulting and deployment
management for wireless projects in Europe, South America,
Southeast Asia, and the Pacific Rim.
Together we have over fifty years of combined experience in
designing and deploying cutting edge wireless technology in
Hawai'i. In previous endeavors, our people built the first
wireless TV network in Hawai'i, deployed wireless shipboard
video networks for the Navy, designed and constructed a
large scale wireless data and VOIP network in Kona, and the
first 3G NLOS modem network in Hawai'i. We have the loyalty
of our customers and vendors. We are a local-based group
with deep roots in Hawai'i.

Steven Berkoff
During the past three years, Steve developed
and deployed the nation’s first commercial 3G network
in Maui, Hawaii. Before the Maui Sky Fiber start-up, Steve
worked with Wireless Networks Inc. of San Mateo, CA, where
he served as VP Field Operations for their Sao Paulo,
Brazil offices, and as President of their Southeast Asian
division in Manila, Philippines. During that time, Steve
managed WNI’s field operations in Sao Paulo, Brazil,
and Manila in the Republic of the Philippines.
From 1992 to 1997, Steve was President and CEO of O'ahu
Wireless Cable, Inc., a wireless cable system in Honolulu.
Steve successfully negotiated a purchase of the O’ahu
system by GTE Media Ventures in May of 1997. Prior to
starting O’ahu Wireless, he was the Director of
Education for the National Satellite Technology Institute
in Rosenberg, Texas, where he developed and built the
country's only training center dedicated to wireless cable
and SMATV technologies. He provided technical and
operational training for wireless, SMATV, satellite, PPV
and DBS systems. Steve also developed all training
materials and constructed a complete laboratory environment
to provide in-depth, hands-on training.
He has authored numerous articles and books on the wireless
and private cable industry. He was the technical editor for
"Private Cable Plus Wireless Cable Magazine'" and has
written over twenty articles for this magazine since its
inception. He is also the co-author of "Satellite, Off-Air
& SMATV - The Private Cable Handbook," and the industry
textbook, "Wireless Cable & SMATV" and “The MMDS
Installation Manual,” published in February of 1996.
Steve has spent the past fifteen years providing technical
and business consulting services to the private and
wireless cable industry. He has worked with numerous
clients developing technical systems and business plans.
Steve has been involved in MMDS, CATV and SMATV since 1979.
He has been responsible for the installation and management
of wireless cable services to 50,000 units of multi
dwelling and single family homes. He has considerable
experience in the management of all phases of MMDS, CATV
SMATV and PPV system construction and operation.
David Sherman
David is a graduate of the University of San
Diego School of Law, 1986. From 1986 to 1996, David worked
as an attorney at the Honolulu law firm of Goodsill
Anderson Quinn & Stifel, becoming a partner of the firm
in 1993. His law practice involved various aspects of
business law and commercial litigation, including
intellectual property rights, technology, public utility
law, and environmental law. In 1997, David moved to Oregon,
where he practices law and provides business, and
technology consulting services.
